Help & FAQ

Quick answers to common questions. Still stuck? Email us — we read every message.

What does PrintReady do?

It turns a design into a PDF tiled across ordinary A4 or Letter pages that you print at home and tape together to an exact real-world size — no print shop, no scaling guesswork.

What can I upload?

Images (PNG, JPEG, WebP) and single- or multi-page PDFs. PDFs stay vector, so they print crisp at any size.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your design is processed entirely in your browser and the PDF is generated on your device — nothing is uploaded. The one exception is if you explicitly choose 'Email me a copy', which uploads that single PDF only to send it to you.

How do I get the size exactly right?

Print page 1 first and measure the calibration square with a ruler before printing the rest. Always print at Actual Size / 100% — never 'Fit to Page' or 'Scale to Fit', which silently resize the artwork.

Why does my print look slightly wrong-sized?

Almost always the printer's scaling. Turn off 'Fit to Page', set 100% / Actual Size, and re-check page 1's calibration square. The PDF itself is built to exact points (36 in = 2592 pt).

How do the tiles fit together?

Each page carries a small overlap and a dashed trim line so edges line up. Trim on the dashed line, then align and tape. You can set the overlap and margins in the studio.

What are the styles — Line art and Stained glass?

Original keeps your photo. Line art traces clean outlines (with an Enhance option to upscale low-res photos). Stained glass segments the image into coloured pieces with lead lines, which you can recolour and get a material estimate for.

What's free, and what needs Pro?

Converting and printing up to 6 sheets is free. A subscription or a one-time per-download purchase unlocks larger jobs, vectorised/SVG export, piece numbering, photo enhancement, and multi-page PDFs. See the pricing page for details.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Manage or cancel your subscription from your account page; you keep access until the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
